STUDENTS
If you spend any time around our church, you’ll quickly learn one thing: we love students! They’re smart, they’re funny, they’re bold and they’re bursting with potential. We truly believe that the middle school and high school students in our midst are world changers in the making and that they are the future of the church, but they are a part of the church right now!
That’s why student ministry is such a big part of what we do at GCC. We want to guide our students in developing a personal faith as they step into the specific roles in the story that God is writing with their lives. We work hard to create environments that engage students in good conversation about God, encouraging them to ask questions, search out answers and truly listen to God’s leading in their lives.
On Sunday mornings during the Sunday school time, our middle and high school students meet with Bobby for Bible study. Our students participate with the adults in the worship service, often times serving in a variety of roles.
On Wednesday nights, Bobby and his volunteers engage with the students to give them practical application of God’s word in their lives, through large group teaching and breaking into smaller groups as well.
Our students participate in a variety of events and activities such as the Tennessee Christian Teen Convention (TCTC), Hardin County DNOW, summer camp programs and summer mission trip opportunities. There are also events like snow tubing or a trip to King’s Island, or a concert that they have an opportunity to participate in.
